Thuto Teach Journey

At Thuto Teach, we have revolutionised caregiver training with a pioneering approach beyond conventional childcare. Our comprehensive program empowers caregivers with the skills to nurture and educate children, laying a robust foundation for their school readiness.

Our Early Childhood Development (ECD) program equips educators and young learners with essential tools and knowledge through a sustainable, long-term approach to prepare every child academically, socially, and emotionally for the challenges of schooling and beyond.

Our Story

Thuto Teach was born from a simple yet profound idea. Michelle realised the power of educational play based on the challenges her children faced with ADD, ADHD, and Dyslexia. She created products to help mothers engage their children in meaningful play at home, firmly believing that “learning through play” is essential for children to understand and interact with their world.

Sally brought 25 years of Early Childhood Development experience, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Qualified in Early Learning Development Sector Studies and Residential Child Care, Sally has dedicated her career to enhancing the educational experiences of young learners and supporting their educators. Her extensive background in preschool education and her specialisation in Trauma Release Exercise have been instrumental in shaping the direction of our programs.

Thuto Teach recognised the critical need for innovative early childhood development solutions. They crafted programs that address these challenges, focusing on supporting teachers and children ensuring that each interaction is impactful and transformative.

Michelle

Michelle founded Thuto Teach. Her early childhood education began with a simple yet profound idea. Observing the challenges her own children faced with ADD, ADHD, and Dyslexia, Michelle realised the transformative power of educational play. She began creating products designed to assist mothers in engaging their children in meaningful play at home, firmly believing that “Learning through play” is essential for children to understand and interact with their world.

Michelle’s career in the travel industry came to an abrupt halt due to the lockdown, prompting a significant re-evaluation of her life’s direction. This period of reflection reignited her passion for childhood development, inspiring her to innovate and expand her initial ideas. She started crafting educational mats and banners, focusing on making learning enjoyable and interactive. Thuto Teach has grown from these roots, driven by Michelle’s personal experiences and her commitment to enhancing educational outcomes for children through creative play.

Sally

Sally, a seasoned professional with 25 years of experience in Early Childhood Development, joined the Thuto Teach team, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise.

As a wife, mother, and business owner, Sally’s deep commitment to childhood education has always driven her professional endeavours. However, the unexpected loss of her job during the COVID-19 pandemic led her to seek a new path. Her prayers for guidance were answered in what she describes as a “God incident,” leading her to Thuto Teach. Together, we have recognised the critical need for innovative early childhood development solutions. Inspired by this shared Vision, Sally has been pivotal in crafting a program that addresses these challenges, focusing on supporting one teacher and one child at a time, ensuring that each interaction is impactful and transformative.
